About Lulu

Hailing from Plaquemines Parish, Lulu Latham can help you find the right house, contractor, plumber, insurance agent, car mechanic, and even the commercial fisherman with the freshest seafood in town.

With 18 years of experience as a real estate agent, Lulu approaches the buying and selling process with great enthusiasm. Recognizing that each situation is unique, she offers her clients personalized knowledge and guidance, making the entire process as smooth as possible.

Her dedication to serving others extends far beyond the realm of real estate. For 26 years, she served her community as a teacher’s aide in the public school system. During this time, she also took on the responsibility of sponsoring various organizations and clubs, including the Parent Teacher Organization, Jr. Beta Club, and Special Olympics.

Lulu’s devotion to her community is further evidenced by her active participation in efforts to rebuild her hometown of Buras after the devastating Hurricane Katrina where she volunteered for committees aimed at attracting businesses and industry.

When she’s not assisting clients or engaging in community work, Lulu finds solace in the outdoors. Whether it’s fishing, gardening, or taking long walks, she embraces the natural beauty of her surroundings. Additionally, she cherishes the opportunity to collaborate with her husband in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals to entertain family and friends.

From the beautiful areas of Belle Chasse to Venice, Marrero to Covington, and even extending to Baton Rouge and Franklinton, Lulu is prepared to support her clients from the beginning to the end of their real estate journey.

Q
How does your love for food and knowledge of local sources and connections benefit your clients in the real estate market?
A
When it comes to real estate, having a deep understanding of the local community is invaluable. Food and community go hand in hand. When people are looking for a new home, they often want to know about the local cuisine and dining scene. By sharing my personal experiences and recommendations, I can provide my clients with a taste of what awaits them in their new neighborhoods. For example, knowing where to find the freshest shrimp means I can guide my clients to nearby commercial fishermen near the mouth of the Mississippi River where they can enjoy easy access to delicious, fresh seafood.
Q
Can you tell us more about your favorite spots?
A
Amore’s in Gretna has the best crème brulee. Olive Branch Café is one of my go-to places for refreshing citrus salads and delectable pasta dishes.
Q
What’s your favorite treat to make at home?
A
I am a lover of all things sweet! You can probably catch me at home making a pan of white chocolate bread pudding or pralines for friends and family.
