“New Orleans is resilient and tough, gritty and everlasting. The freedom and enjoyment of owning a home in the Big Easy are unparalleled.”

About Pablo

After falling in love with New Orleans while being stationed here in the Coast Guard, Pablo Sieres made the easy decision to call it his new home. Born and raised in the wetlands of Florida, he was looking for a new career opportunity, and after realizing his passion for buying and selling, he decided to pursue a career in real estate.

Q
As a Florida transplant, tell us about your passion for New Orleans: why would you recommend people consider purchasing a home in the Big Easy?
A
I fell in love with the people I met, the vibrant culture, and saw a future that I did not want to miss. I couldn’t wrap my brain around the idea of leaving. Purchasing a home in New Orleans is proven to be a profitable investment and helps capture the essence of what it is to live here. I rented here for many years, and feel that I missed out on a lucrative opportunity, as well as not engaging with the community as much as I should have.
Q
Tell us about how you started your career as a Realtor.
A
I was full-steam into a career in environmental conservation and marine science. But due to environmental factors such as COVID-19, my career opportunities were dwindling. Through my friendship with the Satsuma team, I was offered the opportunity to join their brokerage. My outgoing personality and ravenous ambitions allow me to succeed in the realm of real estate and property management, and the sudden change in careers refreshes my work drive.
Q
Describe your perfect Saturday in NOLA.
A
I’ll start my day with breakfast at Surrey’s in Uptown, then head over for the afternoon NOLA Gold Rugby match over at The Shrine. Afterwards, meet with my friends and have some beers at my favorite Mid-City pub, Finn McCool’s. Then to complete my evening, enjoy a nice sunset stroll on the river’s edge in Algiers Point with my dog Rico and take in the view.
Q
Do you have any advice for first-time homebuyers in New Orleans?
A
To simply, dive in. I made the mistake of being overly cautious and being afraid of buying a home. But the fact is, purchasing a home in New Orleans is an extremely secure investment and outweighs the opportunity costs of not becoming a homeowner. Having a piece of this wonderful city in the form of a property gives you something that will undoubtedly help you in the long run.
